California

I quickly booked a flight to California yesteday, and arrived here today around 3. I will be here until Saturday, then its back home for the grind. There are several students coming to BootCamp this weekend and next week and FTOPS is coming up in about a week, so its going to be an intense month. I ordered 2 new monitors because I have finally outgrown my 24/28 inch dual setup. I got the Dell 30 inch, and a Dell 24 inch to tag on the side of it. When I moved to Austin most of the guys had this same setup and its the one I have always wanted but for some reason have never pulled the trigger on it. With the 24 inch turned vertically, it fits flush with the 30 and creates one huge monitor. I will keep all my games on the 30, and lobbys/skype/internet/ect on the 24. I know this change will help me keep all my tournaments more organized, instead of all over the freakin place in no particular order which is so -ev.

Im going to look at several homes tomorrow with Mi_turtle and will probably grind a little bit afterwards as well. Taking some time off from playing has been really nice and great for my head but ive charged back up and am ready to win some more tournaments/money/weekly TLBs/Monthly TLBs....you get the point. Im ready to rock the online poker world unlike any other former low stake sng grinder ever has done before. If you havent noticed, im destroying mtts. And if you havent noticed, im not about to stop. This year is going to be insane, just like January was. Get ready online poker community because here comes bfizz11. Dont say I didnt warn yall.

Im going to bed so I can be rested tomorrow. Goodnight.

January review, February plans and goals

January was awesome. I got to start the year off right with PCA in The Bahamas, and even though I got super unlucky in the Main Event I still had a blast and learned a lot while I was there. I came home early because I was so anxious to get back to the online grind; and I did just that for the rest of the month. I put in sick volume, and finished with some great results. I won the Weekly TLB the third week of the month and finished in first place for the month as well earning myself a $5,000 dollar bonus that I will be donating most of to the Haiti Fund and another one of my favorite non-profit PitBull rescue organizations. On top of all of my personal success, BootCamp was a huge success this month as well. I had a total of 6 guys come and go this month and everyone was thrilled about how much they learned. Most of them even made a nice chunk of change while they were here for just a week. February is bringing in several more BootCamp students who im sure will all do just as well as all the previous attendees. I plan on playing a sick amount of volume again this month, before I make some big moves next month..

I am starting with a vacation to LA to visit a good friend of mine, Nick. He plays under the screen name Mi_turtle on PokerStars. We have been working together trying to improve our games and got to know eachother pretty well over the last several months. He has really taught me a lot, especially about work ethic. We are thinking of possibly teaming up and combining our coaching business to make one big badass coaching business. Whether we really do it or not, im also thinking of moving out to California next month. Its something I have wanted to do for a long time but never had the money to do so. Then I realizezd that making 50k/month allows me to do pretty much whatever the hell I want, and nobody can tell me a damn thing.

After I get back from my California vacation I am going to be on my grind hardcooore. FTOPS is this month and I am SUPER SIKED!!! I have been getting killed on FTP lately and that is all about to change very quickly after I bink a 6 figure score. I will also be grinding on Stars, just not quite as much during the FTOPS series. There are several of you guys signed up for BootCamp in February and I cant wait to work with you all, its going to be a blast. As far as goals, here they are:

1. Play the best poker of my life everyday

2. Teach my students to the best of my ability

If I do these two things, I will have one of the best months of my life. Its an easy game fellas, you just gotta know that. Here is my January graph on PokerStars, I wont show my FTP as all it is is a stupid downswing.  Also attaching a pic of my screen in the middle of Sunday, and a snapshot my buddy Chad took during BootCamp.

$11r win, $215 trifecta, close calls, TLB grindin

Saturday night I shipped the $11 rebuy for almost 16k. Today I cashed all 3 $215 Sunday Majors but couldnt manage to make any super deep runs. I also made the final 2 tables in the $55 1R1A which is huge on sundays, first was over 16k. I feel great about my game and improved a lot today. I am hitting the sack early to get caught up on my sleep so I can grind hard to win the monthly TLB this week, I am only a small score away from moving into first place which would be a very nice $5k bonus for a hard months work.

weekend plans

I have a BootCamp student in town and another showing up in the morning. Also, my friends neil_rick and howdyfolks are in town. Theres going to be a lot of grinding going on around here this weekend and I feel pretty confident that I will break out of the little run-bad funk I have been in the last several days. I spent several hours this evening watching some videos on PokerVT and will be watching some more trying to expand and improve my MTT game. Im planning a trip to LA next week to visit my friend Mi_turtle and explore a little bit of Cali. I keep getting sidetracked because im watching Training Day on tv, gets me every time. Im about to force myself to get up and go to bed though so I can be sharp tomorrow. Goodnight and goodluck everyone.

2nd in the $109 2x

My session went terribly until the $109 2x Chance turbo in which I got 2nd in good for about $8300 I think. Im in the groove. Im watching The Office, season 3 now, and I think its the best comedy series I have ever watched in my entire life. I laugh outloud more than I ever do ever. I really enjoy it. Im going to bed so I can destroy it tomorrow. I gained some TLB points on the leader today and am a win away from scooping the first place spot on the Monthly TLB. Oh and if anyone wants to see a sick graph, sharkscope BFIZZ11

2 more wins on pokerstars

So it was Friday evening and I was starting my session and glanced at the weekly TLB race currently going on. I was in third and was within striking distance. I decided to go for it, and by go for it I mean I decided to pull an all-nighter and grind all those small stake mtts and 180  mans and ended up getting 6th in one of those $33 dollar mtts, it had ~650 runners. I was chipleader with 7 left and then got involved in a masssssive hand and lost it all. But then I wound down to clear my mind and take rocky for a jog and came back to my computer several hours later ready to finish what I started. I was ~180 points behind and realized 180 man wins would do the trick. But this was after I registered for a lot of MTTs, but still skipped the Nightlys because I was pretty sure I locked up the WeeklyTLB with the $44 turbo victory I had shortly after starting my 2nd session. And thennnnn I won the $2.50 $7500 Guar. MTT on PokerStars. If you dont know what that is, heres a description. It had 8263 players and took about ten hours to accumulate all 24,789,000 chips that were in play. Along with a picture of the lobby I included the HH box from the heads up  match. Im hittin the sack so I can get up and begin my run at the MonthlyTLB now, because im now im striking distance.
